Self Discovery Process Syllabus

Welcome to EFSage’s Self Discovery Process Syllabus

Self Discovery Process

Materials:

  • A deck of Tarot cards
  • A calculator
  • A notebook or binder
  • Pens and/or pencils

I suggest that you create a special folder called “Self Discovery Process” on your personal computer and within that folder create sub-folders for each lesson. It will make it easier for you to keep track of your coursework.

Attendance, Copyright & Work Submission

If you must miss an assignment deadline, please inform the instructor as soon as you are aware of the problem to make arrangements. We do our work week by week so that the final lesson and research project or exam are completed by the end of term. With this understanding, attendance also means you turned in your work in a timely manner. Do not let this become a habit. You are not the only student and the Instructor wants to see EVERY student succeed!

Copyright of the Instructor

Any posted materials are copyright of the instructor. It is NOT permissible for you to copy off materials from this course and use them at your discretion for other purposes. You are registered as a STUDENT. This constitutes an agreement that you are here to study and be evaluated (tested). Our materials are not to be used at any coven or Pagan gathering or further publication on or offline of your choice. If it is determined that such use has been made of these materials, it constitutes grounds for immediate removal from any and all classes here at ELC and a possibility of legal action taken.

Homework Submission

The assignments given each week are homework and not 'tests'. Once your homework has been turned in you should check to see that it appeared as you typed it, proofread it and correct it if need be. When I score your journal entry, you will receive an email telling you that your work has been graded and that there is feedback waiting for you. This may take a few days, so allow ample time for me to get the grading done. We are still working on the system we will use so stay tuned for updates on lesson submissions and grading.

Some notes about work submission:

1. Do not submit only answers. If you do not post the questions, it is far too easy to get the answers out of order and make a really low score on an assignment. I cannot give you a grade based upon what I 'think' you might have done. So post both questions and answers, and avoid this type of error.

2. Follow the instructor's directions. This is a mark of responsibility and respect. If I ask you not to submit answers in all capital letters, then please do not submit answers in capital letters.

3. If I tell you not to use outside resources, then do not use outside material to 'find' the answers. If you know of some other source that covers our topic and you're just crazy about it, bring that up on the message boards, but do not submit 'answers' from that site. Use the course material. I will only grade answers that come from the course material.

4. And if you have personal experience with something, feel free to submit that as an "aside" AFTER you give the answer from the course material. I can't reproduce your individual results in most cases, so there is no way to verify personal experience. THAT'S why I don't give credit for it. But it is most appreciated when shared at the bottom of your assignment.

5. You will not be graded on spelling but using spell check IS mandatory. If I cannot read or make sense of your homework submissions I cannot grade them. Punctuation is also mandatory.

Further instructions on how to submit homework are given with each homework assignment. Be sure to follow those simple instructions as you turn in work.

Certificate of Completion

There will be an official ELC (EarthWalk Learning Center) Certificate posted for you to print off at the end of the course once you have successfully completed the course with a grade of no less than 80%. You must complete all assigned work to get credit for this course.
